Altadis U.S.A.’s highly popular Saint Luis Rey brand just unveiled a hot new line extension called the Saint Luis Rey Carenas cigars. To create these artisanal beauties, the company once again turned to the Grupo de Maestros who produced these magnificent sticks in the prestigious La Flor De Copan factory in Honduras. Carenas cigars are composed of the finest aged Honduran binder and long fillers covered by a rich, seamless Nicaraguan wrapper. The line gets its name from Puerto de Carenas, the previous name for the Port of Havana in Cuba. With a medium bodied profile that offers the perfect balance of strength and flavor, these slow burning gems serve up rich complex tasting notes of coffee, earth, peppery spices, and some hints of salted caramel. Saint Luis Rey cigars are a Cuban heritage brand that has been pleasing smokers for many decades, and the wonderful new Carenas cigars are certainly no exception!
