Rocky Patel The Edge Special Editions cigars were originally released in 2016 as a brick and mortar exclusive limited to their top 200 retailers, but now they are available in three captivating blends right here at JR Cigar. All superbly rolled at Rocky’s prestigious TaviCusa factory in Nicaragua, and available in boxes of 20, the Special Editions consists of the 6 x 52 A -10 Toro, 6 x 52 A-10 Candela, and the 6 x 60 A-10 Battalion. Both the Toro and Battalion are rolled in an eye-catching barber pole design that combines maduro and EMS tobaccos leaves intertwined in alternating layers. The fillers for each are a Nicaraguan and Honduran blend bunched inside a thick Nicaraguan binder. These dual wrapped beauties provide a highly complex medium bodied smoke with ever-revolving flavors of chocolate, cedar, wood, spice, nuts, and cocoa. The Edge Special Editions Candela Toro cigars mark the return of the Candela (green) outer leaf that was enormously popular up until the late 1970’s. It gained its notoriety back in the days when only bold Cuban cigars were legal and available in the United States, and was preferred by smokers looking for a mellower strength profile.
