Candela ToroThis cigar came in a JR Sampler I received today. I didn't expect it so soon! I went ahead and unwrapped it since it was shipped with a Boveda humidifier.
The dry draw was nice. Just the right amount of resistance. I toasted and lit the foot. It took about a 1/4" to warm up and smooth out. She's no weakling but got smoother as she progressed. Burn is an even wavy line and ash holds for about an inch. I'm well into the 2nd 3rd, the smoke is rich and ample. I like the flavor a lot. The retro is excellent and ample without peppering your nose off, very nice.
The flavors are Sunshine. The wrapper and binder give it a light tinge but the fillers give it body and some boldness which blend playfully on the palate and retrohale. I taste green tea, sun grown flavor and hints of leather and cedar that give it body.
I also like Edge Connecticut and Corojo but their Candela, like them is no slouch.
I'll continue enjoying them from time to time.551

The Rocky Patel The Edge Special Edition Candela cigar marks the return of the once enormously popular Candela wrapper leaf.
