With our new Crafted by series, we wanted to do something that was unique to the premium cigar industry. We wanted to create a brand from scratch, by choosing the exact tobaccos in the blend, the size, and having the logos and packaging designed by our in-house JR team. Crafted by JR Crowned Heads cigars are just the first in a line of top-shelf brands that is a true collaboration between our team and the manufacturer. The concept behind Crafted by JR: Crowned Heads cigars was for us to team up with brand owner Jon Huber to create a smooth, medium bodied smoke in a popular 5.5 x 52 Robusto Extra size..., using nothing but the finest top-quality tobaccos. After some experimentation, the final blend chosen was a rich, reddish brown Ecuadorian Habano wrapper atop a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and aged Nicaraguan fillers from Jalapa, Condega, and Ometepe – three of the top growing regions in the country. The finished product accomplished what was promised: a rich, creamy smooth, medium bodied smoke layered with luscious notes of roasted nuts, leather, tobacco sweetness, and subtle hints of spice.
