But rather it’s a brand concept that we created from scratch with the help of Crowned Heads brand owner Jon Huber. With a recent rating of 93 by Blind Mans Puff, our in-house JR team chose the exact tobaccos used in the blend, along with the packaging and the popular 5.5 x 52 Robusto Extra size. This carefully chosen blend is composed of a rich, reddish brown, Ecuadorian Habano wrapper atop a Connecticut Broadleaf binder and aged Nicaraguan fillers from Jalapa, Condega, and Ometepe – three of the top growing regions in the country. The finished product is a smooth medium bodied smoke that’s laced with lush, creamy textured notes of roasted nuts, leather, tobacco sweetness, and subtle hints of spice.
