Torpedo This cigar is amazingly consistent. Once upon a time I sold them regularly to a famous college football coach. It was a one note cigar for me but it is a nice note. It is a pretty standard connecticut but with more flavor than most others in its price range. I would have liked it to taste a little more of leather or pepper than it does. Consistent tasty well constructed and reasonably priced smoking a cigar with the previous descriptors is like winning. 4 5 1

Torpedo I haven't found an RP Edge that I don't like yet. I tend to lean toward the maduro offering but the natural is great too just a little milder on the palate. It is a moderately priced stick that delivers bold smooth flavors from start to finish. 5 5 1

Torpedo The Edge is a very deceiving cigar I nearly passed up on this cigar due to its plain look. As soon as I light this stick I get a nice blast of peppery spice that takes me by surprise I'm surprised that it can be spicy and smooth at the same time! The spice fades to the back and I get leather caramel and cocoa. The construction is spot on no draw or burn issues I highly recommend it! 5 5 1

Torpedo Received the torpedo in a bundle. I love Rocky's and was expecting a bit more pleasant flavor. Great construction with slightly uneven burn but didn't require any relights or flaming correction. It just seemed to have a slightly bitter flavor I can't quite place that doesn't compliment the creaminess well. Maybe the Maduro would be better for my taste. Not bad but my first Rocky I wouldn't really recommend. At least not before several others. 4 5 1

Torpedo This was my first Rocky Patel. There are so many different vitolas and front marks. This was a real joy. Im very glad a friend recommended this edge torpedo with the blue label. A Nicaraguan puro having a fine oily wrapper the color of dark oak. The first third tasted of citrus and earthy tobacco. Then warm bread and a little spice. The finish was smooth and left me wiring for more. A full bodied smoke that didn't overpower with the desire to smoke quickly! Very much a box buy. 5 5 1

Torpedo This is an all around great cigar! Great price point for the quality! I only started smoking this cigar because my local cigar shop always had them and sold them 5 for the price of 4 and were always fresh (new box of 100 every couple of days). I have smoked them for about 5 years and am amazed at how consistent they light burn and look/feel. Extremely well balanced!! Well rounded flavors and nothing too heavy. Hard to believe that it is a full flavor cigar because it smokes like a medium due to good balance and lack of head buzz. I always maintain a stock of these Edge and several other RP cigars. Try the Decade if you like this one and the vintage 1992. The Edge Light is good however it is a very different blend---still consistent and good balance. 4 5 1

Torpedo I have truly never been a fan of Connecticut cigars even though Rocky Patel is one of my favorite Brands to smoke I find that this is a little harsh for my taste. Torpedo I was going through my phase of smoking mostly rocky Patel’s for a while I really enjoyed most of his line up but the edge line up is one of those that you just keep in the humidor for friends that don’t smoke often ir for days where you don’t want to break the bank and still get a good smoke. These are definitely on the mild side although Rocky’s in my opinion tend to have a bit of peppery taste to them no matter what wrapper is on it. I usually have a few of these in my humidor and they are enjoyable. 4 5 1

Torpedo The Edge is a very deceiving cigar I nearly passed up on this cigar due to its plain look. As soon as I light this stick I get a nice blast of peppery spice that takes me by surprise I'm surprised that it can be spicy and smooth at the same time! Torpedo I'll start by saying that I'm not the biggest fan of torpedo sticks. I often struggle to get the draw right. The Edge has by far the best draw of any torpedo I've smoked. It's also the best RP I've ever smoked. Frankly I've been disappointed with the half dozen or so others I've tried. The Edge does MUCH to redeem the brand in my eyes. Right from the toasty cocoa flavored cold draw to the nub that I smoked this baby down to...Wow. Excellent flavor throughout. Not remarkably complex and the flavor didn't vary but somehow I never grew bored. The flavor from first third to nub was a toasted mocha goodness that I'm already craving again. My one knock on this stick - the burn. It did reasonably well staying lit particularly given the long stretches I went without drawing but the burn was painfully uneven. I had to touch up 5 or 6 times which is both annoying and a bit disruptive of the flavors. Still a winner. ESPECIALLY given the price point. I will be purchasing again. 4 5 1
