Robusto While I prefer the #2 torpedo this is a great cigar. Little to no burn issues (normally) but I find the flavor a little lacking in this vitola and it tends to turn slightly more than some of the others about the half way mark. Still a great smoke though. 3 5 1

Robusto Montecristo Original or Yellow has been a regular in my humidor for years. They are expensive but wait and catch them on sale! Flavors of white pepper nuts cream and vanilla permeate these Dominican beauties. The draw is in between firm and loose - just right! The pepper increases as does the creaminess in the final third. At the nub it is still thick bountiful and cool smoke. Cannot go wrong with Montecristo Yellow no matter what vitola! NOTE: These are NOT Montecristo Classics. Those are a different cigar and in my opinion inferior to the Yellow series. 5 5 1

Robusto Over the last year the quality of Montecristo cigars has fallen off dramatically. The Robusto is no exception. When they are well rolled they smoke and taste great. Most of them, however, are either too tight or too loose, have wrappers that crack, burn up one side, won't stay lit, require constant touchups, and generally are a nuisance to smoke. Robusto I recently received a free sampler of 5 cigars with my order on 5/5/23. It is a very good single close to this size but its measurements were 5 x 47. I cannot find this size on your website or catalog. Nonetheless I will rate it as follows: great burn, construstion and flavor. Wish I could get more! 4 5 1
Robusto My last batch of these cigars was extremely humidity sensitive. Without exception, the wrappers all cracked extensively during smoking, unless I first equalized the pressure throughout the stick by first dry-boxing it for at least a week. This was not petty cracking which can be fixed with a little dilute pectin. It was to the extent that the cigar became unsmokeable. Unacceptable. 2 5 1
