Conde (Pig Tail) Smooth medium brown wrapper very even and attractive. Not toothy or oily. First third of cigar is spicy and rich. Lots of smoke with a hint of chocolate aroma. Burns evenly and the first ash fell at about an inch not great but sturdy enough. Middle third calms down on spiciness and gets even richer. Creamy and much sweeter than it began. Last 20 minutes are a challenge to smoke slowly. Burns evenly but draw is a bit difficult. This is a very potent but rich and smooth. Its almost dessert-like in its character. Lots of nicotine and full flavor. Excellent cigar for the price. 4 5 1

Conde (Pig Tail) Earthy spicy cocoa sweet cinnamon. The Monte has more body and spice complexity than your average Montecristo. I think the Conde is the best vitola. The burn is perfect and the wrapper really comes through. 3 5 1

Conde (Pig Tail) Very impressive smoke. Actually more of a Medium draw but I didn't mind it. Very straight burn & perfect white ash. Strength was more medium than medium-full. Conde (Pig Tail) The Monte by Montecristo conde starts with a nice little blast of spice which fades allowing really enjoyable flavors to come through I get hints of chocolate toast and leather but very well balanced as I smoke the smoke becomes smooth and creamy and a slight sweetness shows up. Conde (Pig Tail) Quality flavor and construction all the way around. I would consider it a great cigar except it suffers from "denobli-its" What's that? That is no matter how you light them or smoke them, you are constantly having to relight them. To level the burn rate, to relight, etc. And if you are not "vigorously" puffing without let up they will again need to be relit. Really a great cigar other than that an a really unexpected flaw for such a fine line. 4 5 1
Conde (Pig Tail) My first Monte in quite a while. All the medium flavors are there: leathery, even, smooth, not too peppery, not one bad note of flavor - but much like the previous reviewer I also had to re-light multiple times and was generally unhappy with the construction. Wrapper simply wasn't great. I hate to knock a star off a Montecristo but bad burns really do seem to be a problem here. 4 5 1
