Montecristo Edmundo These cigars are one of the best values around. They often are on back order and for good reason. The tobacco used is quality tobacco and gives a great smoke. White ash full aroma. I do want to say if you are use to lighter smokes this isn’t for you if your a novice this Cigar will be too strong for you in my opinion. Montecristo Edmundo I got 5 of these in a sampler pack and they may have been the best of the bunch. I see lots of reviews saying that they basically suck but my experience was different. I thought that they were pretty tasty and good uality smokes. I would try another 5 pack of these for sure. 4 5 1
Montecristo Edmundo This is my go-to for my daily smoke for years. The value of the stick is normally amazing; however the draw on the lady batch I received is awful. I have to cut away most of the butt to get it to where it's manageable. I hope this is a one-off. 3 5 1
Montecristo Edmundo I cannot compare this cigar to the Cuban Montecristo Edmundo as I have never had a Cuban Montecristo Edmundo . However I tried this cigar a long time back and at different times throughout the years and find it to be the most consistent in burn and flavor. I love the tight wrap along with the Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. I do not get the oily after taste that I get from other cigars. I recently ordered two bundles and they are as good as I remember. I see some complaints about the cigars needing to be put in the humidor to get them back in shape. The two bundles I just received were ready to smoke upon arrival. I was pleasantly surprised as I hate having to wait when I receive a new order of cigars! This is my go to every day cigar whether smoking while cutting the grass or sitting on the deck with a cold brew the cost makes this cigar one of my top choices! I have had an occasional tunneling occur but I have that occur with any brand of cigar I have purchased. This brand for me has not had any more issues than any other brand. 5 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo in April and again in September 2017 i submitted bad reviews wherein i wrote i would NEVER buy Monty-Eds again. after i reversed that action from April's statement and purchased again in September i again submitted a very negative review and wrote i would NEVER buy them again. i suppose since the Monty-Eds were so good for so long previously i recently tried them one more time. i am pleased to report that once again these cigars are very good remarkably so considering affordability. shame on JR for the very bad ones positive acclaim for the return to good quality. thank you. 4 5 1
Montecristo Edmundo I never had this before. But very disappointed in this cigar. Takes about 2 hours to smoke with all the relight or cuts. I find it bitter and think I will only be able to finish these cigars by cutting them in half. 1 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo I have been a loyal smoker of this Monty Edmundo blend for years and have been very happy...until this last order. The cigars have a nasty taste and seems like a totally different blend from what it was before. No longer the medium full bodied cigars they used to be. Will send these back. 1 5 1
Montecristo Edmundo I stopped buying these about a year ago but recently tried them again. They have at least stayed consistent. They consistently tunnel and canoe. They consistently contain chunks of hot-burning non-smokable tobacco. They consistently are harsh and bad-tasting. They consistently require cutting and relighting. They do however make a good appearance but they are not pretty enough to warrant buying more ever. At one time these were my regular cigar but the quality is gone. Montecristo Edmundo This is a good cigar for the money. I have been smoking cigars for 25 years and like variety. This is one I keep on hand. I find this cigar very Cubanesque. I have had Cubans and this one is better than some not as good as others and equal to a few. I only gave it 4 stars because I have had a few that had a tight draw so draw and consistency are sometimes lacking but the flavor is usually there and for the money it is a good cigar. I have been smoking these for about 7-10 years and like I mentioned I keep some on hand at all times. I am a hard rater so to be a 5 star it needs to be outstanding. This is a solid 4. Although keeping all things relative for the money it is pretty close to outstanding. 4 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo You put your name on a product it should be something you are proud of. I bought 2 five packs and 7 Edmondos were plugged. The other three looked fantastic smelled great had fair to good flavor and strength. Burn was straight not much smoke though. Bought these on sale 9.95 a fiver so cost is about $7 a stick after the throw aways. I can get cigars that are smokeable and tons more consistency and flavor (Padron 2000 AF R&J etc. for less than 7.00 a stick. 1 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo Let's be realistic. You can't ask any $2 cigar to taste like a real Cuban. I've smoked Cuban cigars for my entire life and this doesn't taste like any I've had. That being said this is one of the best 2$-$10 cigars I've had ! A pretty decent construction flaw and flavor. I let them rest for a while and keep some in my humidor at all time. 4 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo Loved this smoke but will only buy if they are $9.99 not the $11+ price. As for the cigar itself after smoking 20 of these I have found that the flavor is fantastic if you enjoy a full taste. If you enjoy a lighter stick don't buy these. They are put together pretty good as I had two of the twenty crack at the cap when using a punch I cut them after the breakage and smoked away! The draw was always the same with a good amount of smoke and for the most part burned evenly among all 20. I would recommend these overall and will share with my friends. 4 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo Best of the 3 different Edicion Limitadas that I've tried. And a cut above the JR Alternatives. The Edicion Limitadas is on par with the JR Ultimate. What I like about the cigar is the quality of wraper which is oily, shiny and silky. It lights up well and stays lit. It draws well so much so that you can take very small puffs and and put it down and it stays lit. It burns evenly so the technician wrapped it very evenly. Usually, out of every 20 you have one that will not draw almost at all. Not so with the Limitadas. And finally the taste is excellent. There is a chocolate, bourbon, cedar, and carmal taste to them. this is my second batch and I will buy them again. 5 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo I ordered Monday and got them today Friday so i put them in humidor but keep 1 out as it seems pretty good to go. Lites easy and draw was pretty good. Great tight ash that holds on long, flavor was ok out of the gate and gets better half way down as you would expect at half way point I was very impressed for an affordable smoke. I do like this for the price it will be a daily favorit I will be ordering these again. I gave the construction 5 stars because I have yet had one this well done for this price range. This is a nice medium cigar I like a full body cigar but this is a very good cigar with a great wrapper I hope they will keep the quality there moving forward I just started buying from JR. 4 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo For the price, you can’t ask for much more from a cigar. Excellent construction and draw overall. The first third is just ok, but I really enjoyed the flavors more as I smoked it down. I did not find the flavor to be Medium-Full as advertised. To me it’s more on the mild to medium side of things, which is fine for my preference. Burned fine and held up well until I got to the nub. The construction does fall apart as you get to the nub, so something to be aware of if you like to smoke them all the way down like I do. Overall a very enjoyable smoke at a great price. I will definitely buy more of these and would highly recommend. 4 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo I think this is a great cigar for the money. However the new shipping policy that has been adopted by JR is not good. I have ordered cigars from JR for a couple of years and always used the USPS or default shipping method and could count on my cigars to get here in 4-5 day max. However now JR uses a pick by warehouse for the default shipping method if it is shipped by UPS it takes 7-10 days (first order took 7 days) If the post office can get them here in 5 days max what is the issue with UPS? Keeping a great cigar great is having it in a humidor not in a truck for a few extra days. 5 5 1

After several months in my humidor the taste improved considerably with three of the bundles however one bundle was sub par. Smoked the ELMOE's for ages. Rarely a bad cigar consistent taste even burn and really tasted like a more expensive cigar. It's not rolled as good nor is the tobacco as consistent which causes some ash and burn inconsistency. Montecristo Edmundo Over the years I've smoked many Cubans and many higher end cigars all around the world. JR has a real winner in the Alternative Montecristo Edmundo. I call it mild/medium. It has a good tight ash slow and even burning not too tight smooth even draw and plenty of complex flavors that never got harsh all the way down to the nub. I compare it to a Tabacalera Corona from the Philippines which has received ac CA score of 93 compared against Cuban coronas. I enjoy these in the late evening sitting on my porch in front of the fire pit paired with a rum and cherry lemon lime. It a winner! 5 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo I’ve been buying from JR for about 40 years. Discovered this little gem on my first bundle having arrived a couple days ago. I order 2 more bundles to stock up in the event there was a supply issue. Spoke to JR today. Availability wained a tad last year as has just about every other import on the planet. That is remedied apparently. I find the smoke a rich complex flavor and essence consistent with an upper end brand. Can’t beat the price. I do hear about inconsistencies regarding draw, some tunneling and canoeing. This is a handmade product using only natural organic ingredients. Life itself is chock-full of imperfections. Adds character and at times gives smokers something to bitch about. To be expected. I appreciate the girth and premium wrapper with tight condensed longleaf filler. Really can’t go wrong particularly for the price. Only challenge now is getting them to Europe consistently. 5 5 1

But then it would revert to awful. The second one had better draw but the flavor was boring and harsh. Third one wasn’t better. Montecristo Edmundo I've ordered this cigar twice, the first time as a 5 pack and the second as a 20 bundle. The first order was great, with only one cigar having burn issues. The taste is what sold me on this particular cigar though. For a budget cigar these are great tasting sticks. However...my next order of 20 contained only a couple of cigars that didn't have uneven burns. The draw was inconsistent as well, with some being very tight and others feeling like you're sucking air. Overall, I really want to like this cigar. Perhaps it was a new roller at the factory or something, who knows, but the inconsistencies are enough to give me pause about making another order for this particular cigar. 2 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo I once was in love with these sticks, but now I'm not. I get tired of throwing these cigars in the garbage because about a quarter of these table legs end up there. I could hook my Dyson up to try to get a draw on some of these and even the Dyson would gasp and give up. There is nothing worse than sitting down in a good mood to smoke a cigar and sucking my damn lungs out trying to get this thing to burn only to scream in anger and throw the SOB across the yard. I can honestly say I will NEVER buy these exasperating SOB's ever again. The price is right and when they burn they're impressive, but there are just to many of these to make it financially feasible. If I have to throw one away out of every 4 it isn't saving me a penny, not to mention the anger and frustration these wooden dowels cause. As soon I cut it and take a draw, I know right away I'm in for a screaming fit of rage. I am not placing my trust in these cigars ever again. I'll pay more and smoke less and to hell with these exercises in futility. What a bummer. 1 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo I have to admit I was very disappointed in the construction of the 20 pack I ordered. This is not my first time smoking or ordering these Limitadas from JR. What I found ver disappointed is when I buy a product and you tell me I am getting a 54 ring gauge cigar I expect that.. The bundle I received had maybe 8 cigar's that were actually that size. I had cigar's that were probably between a 48-52 ring gauge, oblong and semi square press. If I wasn't low on an everyday cigar I would have sent these back. I do know what I am talking about since I use to worked for one of the best Cigar store's in Palm Beach county in Florida. I understand you get what you pay for but a$60.00 is still a decent amount of money. 3 5 1

Montecristo Edmundo I used to swear by these cigars. Recently, it's easier to smoke a roll of nickels than these cigars. If you insist on trying these, just have a cigar spear handy and make sure you spear them in four different places and overnight if you want a semblance of a decent smoke. I am done with these. Of course I know dang well what to expect when buying JR alternatives, some are ok, some are decent and some are great for the price point. BUT COME ON.. THESE ARE NASTY! Not only did I attempt to smoke one, but I smoked multiple and STILL ended up throwing them in the trash. Literally horrible flavor, worse than smoking paper. I have smoked $1.25 cigars and they were better than these. Montecristo Edmundo JR started shipping a different cigar called the Montecristo Edmundo. Cigar is visibly different. Different wrapper, different size and different packaging. It's a good Cigar but not the older version. I am accustomed to cigars changing over the years so this isn't a shock. Still adjusting to the newer version of this Cigar. I have had a few issues with construction of the new version of the cigar but fewer issues with draw like the last version of the cigar. 3 5 1
