Nub 460 Connecticut I purchased these on whim. I have been smoking Nub Connecticut for several years and I really enjoy them. I did a blind test to see if I could tell a difference between these and the name brand. I had my wife pick one unwrap it bring it to me; and then later smoked the Nub. I actually liked the JR Alternative better than the Nub. Construction seems good. I did have a slight canoeing issue early on in the smoke but it went away quickly and had no issue after that. I smoked 3 more while on vacation and were all on par with the first. I'll be purchasing these again. 4 5 1

Nub 460 Connecticut After reading several other Reviews before coming in here to write one and seeing several people having a Decent Smoke, I cannot write the same kind of Review. I was sad to find these smokes to be a poor representation of the a Nub Connecticut, it wasn't even close. I had these in my humidor for two weeks before I sparked up a second one. The first I always try when I receive my package. This first burn, the wrapper was decent and tight and had a fresh tobacco-y smell. It was pleasant. I snipped the cap and smelled the fresh cut and it didn't bring up anything special to say. A dry draw found it to have a straw taste to it and very easy to draw on. I used a single blue flame to get the foot aglow before I took my first draw. The first draw started out pleasant enough, but immediately the Pepper invaded my mouth and throat and I was surprised by this. Most Connecticut's I've had do not bring much or any pepper this strong. I am a SUPER FAN of the Oliva Nub Connecticut as well as many other Oliva blends and makes. I guess I could've started with that. As I smoked this burner giving it a rest of at least one minute between draws, the consistent strong pepper never slowed until the last third. At this point, the last third, this stick tasted more like a Habano than a Conn... IT was weird. Disappointedly, I had to touch up the three uneven burns in each third. Two weeks later I tried another from my humidor, and I got the same thing. Uneven burns in each third and the pepper did simmer down a bit. But, the taste of a Habano was still there. It didn't resemble a Conn at all to me. It's been a few weeks now and I tried to smoke one every couple days and each one after the fourth try, I set one aside for the next day to give it a rest from the humidor to see if that made any difference. It did not .. I smoked the last one last night - and sadly each one of these did not make my list to Try Again. In each category below I can only rate a One Star, when I don't want to rate any star. So sorry for the disappointing Review...I've been so pleased with so many other purchases. 1 5 1
