Arbitrage Just finished one of these from a box I bought. Beautiful fragrant wrapper great construction burns and draws very well. Peppery and woody at first light it settles into a very smooth creamy earthy smoke with bold flavors. A really good cigar! 5 5 1

Arbitrage The banker is a good cigar. I personally liked it but didn't love it. I am a big flavor guy and to me there just wasn't enough flavor for me I tend to like a more complex flavored cigar. Thought it would be better than it was but i know this is sometimes the case with many cigars. Construction was good. Did not come apart. Arbitrage I've been smoking H. Upmann cigars for years. I use to buy boxes of H. Upmann's when you offered the signature series and they are great cigars. I wanted to try a box of The Banker and about 3 of them had a very hard draw. There were a couple that had very tiny holes in the cigar so it was more like puffing air. All the rest were great! I will get another box sometime in the future. Good cigars are expensive and it is disturbing when there are some bad ones in a bundle or box. 3 5 1

Arbitrage This is a fabulous smoke. It's good to see the Upmann name on a large size cigar again as I believe it has been many years since they released a cigar of this size. I bought a box of these about a year ago and have pulled one out of the humidor when I need to treat myself. Typical Dominican mild smoke with a nice filler blend to give it some unique characteristics. The five pack is a great way to keep a few around for those occasions. I did run across a little bit of inconsistency but isn't that what handmade cigars are all about? 4 5 1

Arbitrage The Banker begins with a hearty profile of leather and earthy notes accompanied by a bed of spice. On the back end of the flavors some dry cedar is found which really stands out the retrohale along with peppery spice. Just past the inch mark chocolate begins to peek through on the finish of the smoke. The burn produces a white ash that is holding firm well past an inch. 5 5 1

Arbitrage H Upmann is usually a consistently excellent brand however the Banker series fails to sincerely impress. It is a quality smoke to be sure but not of a quality truly worthy of the H Upmann brand. While the blend of tobaccos remains flavorful the dreadful inconsistency of construction is unavoidable. At an $8.75 per stick msrp one should not expect to find cigars so loosely rolled that they literally pinch flat upon application of gentle pressure. One should expect even and consistent burning ( without the need for relights) in addition to quality complexity of flavor. Perhaps these inconsistencies are to be expected. All cigar lines in the struggle to expand market share roll out new varieties. Sometimes these new varieties are successful and sometimes less so. How are the mighty fallen? When they commit more focus to excellence in packaging than excellence in construction. Going forward I will stick to the standard H Upmann cabinet selections. They are vastly superior in my judgement. 3 5 1

Arbitrage Boy what an awakening ! I could not believe how good this cigar was it looked like a decent cigar. After I lit it up and let it burn a short while I was amazed at how smooth and tasty it was but what really caught me off guard was it stayed that way thru the first two thirds of my smoke! The last third was better it was slightly richer and flavorful but still not hot and peppery. Best surprise I've had in a long time. I will keep buying them as long as they keep making them 5 ****. 5 5 1

It burns solid down to the knuckle and has a memorable but not overpowering flavor. You wont't be disappointed if you're looking for a well-constructed medium smoke with lots of mojo. Arbitrage About a month ago I purchased four 5packs of the Arbitrage. The cigar is beautiful, and I can say the first cigar I smoked was slightly tight but smokable. Thereafter three out of five cigars in the four packs were impossible to smoke. I used the perfect draw poker with zero results. There were no stems or knots in the cigars. They were just rolled too tight. A shame. Beautiful looking cigar, and it tastes fine when smokable. I can't buy the product again. 1 5 1
