Lonsdale If your preference runs toward Habana cigars, and you’re already familiar with the excellent quality of Foundation Charter Oak cigars, you’re going to enjoy this one. It has excellent construction and well balanced flavors throughout. The second third is where this cigar really shines and you’ll appreciate its complexity. The pepper, oak and cooking spices intensify a bit in the last third yet remain delicious and smooth. You won’t want this cigar to end. My review is aimed at Habano cigar palates. I recommend putting them away in your humidor for a couple of months before smoking. IMO, you’ll be glad you did. Satisfied with my box purchase, cigar quality, price and buying from JR Cigars. 4 5 1
Lonsdale I was recently given one of these. The first puff was nearly dung like, a strange musky flavor but two puffs in and the cigar became well rounded, nutty and rich. The construction rivald far more expensive smokes and the concentrated flavors carried through, with notable and entertaining changes in profile all the way to a fine and cool finish. There should be a box on a truck shortly. I dislike comparing one cigar with another over price "a good cigar... for the price" sort of thing. Instead I will assert that this cigar is easily worth half again the going price. If a low price enhances your smoking pleasure by all means seriously consider this smoke and this size. 5 5 1
Lonsdale Lots of honey and caramel notes for me. Nice, but not my goto favor-wise. Have to work a little harder on the draw than I like to, but not bad. 3 5 1

Foundation Charter Oak Habano

Lonsdale 6.25 × 46 FCCOHL

Charter Oak Habano Lonsdale cigars are the second installment to Foundation’s highly popular Charter Oak line. These classic (6.14 x 42) Lonsdale’s are named after the beautiful Habano wrapper covering a well-aged blend of Nicaraguan binder and long filler tobaccos. By using a rich Habano wrapper, Charter Oak has filled the profile gap between the Connecticut Shade and the Connecticut Broadleaf Maduro varietals found on the original offerings. You can expect a complex medium bodied smoke, offering rich, multi-layered notes of black pepper, cedar, leather, and cocoa, all rounded out with plenty of natural tobacco sweetness on the finish. A very affordable price, pristine construction, and a well-deserved 92-point rating from Cigar Afficionado, makes Charter Oak Habano Lonsdale a must-have addition to your premium cigar collection. Grab a box of 20 from JR Cigar now, and count on many hours of pure smoking enjoyment.
