8-5-8 I’m a new smoker so beware of my opinion. It is described here as a rich nutty blend but I couldn’t find the nutty notes with my untrained palette. To me it tasted more woody and earthy. Towards the middle of the cigar it starts getting more peppery. Since I am a newbie that hasn’t tasted much yet I can’t say if it is great or average overall. I enjoy it the most at night after dinner. 4 5 1
8-5-8 One of my favorite 'gars. Absolutely top shelf maduro. Slow & even burn down to the last draw. Complex flavor leaves you studying this jewel. Well balanced flavors with no unpleasant after taste. Perfect with a complex red wine or whisky. If you are a maduro fan you will love this stick! I keep a few on hand for those occasions. 4 5 1
8-5-8 Arturo Fuente 8-5-8. More like a 10-10-10. They never disappoint ever. The flavors are out of this world. Always right on the money. 5 5 1

8-5-8 The entire 8-5-8 line is a very good line for newbies to get into. Very mild and easy with great soft cedar and leather notes with a mild sweetness on the back end. I guess that's why this blend has been a mainstay in many humidors for many years! 4 5 1

This cigar would have been great if it weren't for the loose construction that caused me to have to ft ix tge burn several times and rlight it twice. 3 5 1

8-5-8 You can't go wrong with Fuente. I've only had one or two cigars out of hundreds I've smoked made by Fuente that I wasn't amazed by. They were still good but nothing to brag about. The 8-5-8 is a great go to cigar. It's not an opus or anejo but it's still a great smoke. For the price you can make this an everyday smoke and you will be happy. 8-5-8 I'd give this 3 stars for the flavor. I'm a relatively new cigar smoker and this was advertised as a mild and it was straight medium. Left an ash flavor. I believe it was the wrapper. I like the AF with the candela wrapper that's my favorite cigar and this didn't live up to that. Otherwise it burned evenly and the wrapper had no cracks. It stayed lit set aside for 5 minutes with the long filler. Easy draw produced LOTS of smoke. JR shipped it instantly and I got the sticks in 2 days. Wish the flavor was better so I'm sticking to the Arturo with the candela wrapper for now. 4 5 1

I find that about four to five cigars in a a chest have issues. They are either too tight can't draw too loose they break and fall apart. The well rolled 858's are truly satisfying. I recommend and continue to smoke them because they are good. I suppose hand made has its ups and downs. Try a box! 4 5 1

Fuente has been my favorite for at least 25 of those years. 8-5-8s or Hemingways always take me back to my Tampa days, when a good cigar cost less than a dollar. I can't even remember how long it has been since I got a badly rolled cigar from a box of Arturo Fuente. A few very simple things are quite important. 1. My wife always comments about how good these cigars smell, so there's no guilt in smoking in my living room in my favorite chair. 2. Aside from the smoking experience, there is the after aromas that cling to my beard and mustache. It's still good the next day, rather than the dirty ash tray stench of some others. 3.
