All three cigars are expertly handcrafted at Carrillo’s famed Tabacalera Alianza factory in the Dominican Republic. Pledge by EP Carrillo Prequel received a 98-point rating and was awarded the #1 spot in 2020’s Top 25 Cigars of the Year by Cigar Aficionado. Prequel is deftly rolled in a box pressed Robusto format using a proprietary maduro wrapper leaf called Habano Connecticut that was cultivated exclusively for this blend. This a medium-to- full bodied smoke offering highly complex flavors of chocolate, earth, black cherry, espresso, and pepper. Encore by E.P. This is a Nicaraguan puro whose filler tobaccos are cured and aged in "tercios", where palm tree bark is wrapped around the tobacco for 2-years to bring out the utmost in flavor and aroma from these tightly bound leaves. The end result is a medium-to-full bodied smoke laced with luscious notes of sweet tobacco, rich earth, and leather, before a long-lasting spicy finish. Perez Carrillo La Historia EIII received a 95-point rating and the #2 spot in 2014’s Top 25 Cigars of the Year by Cigar Aficionado. The E-III is a full-bodied, box-pressed Toro with a beautiful oily and dark San Andrés Maduro wrapper from Mexico. This chewy medium-to full bodied cigar burns slowly and evenly while serving up rich, complex flavors of anise, earth, white pepper, and dark roast coffee.
