Curly Head Deluxe This is Fuente's value line. Construction isn't great - as I write this I'm smoking one that has gaps in the wrapper that I have to cover with my fingers to make it draw properly. But the flavor is quite good. Just what you want from a mild flavor maduro. Smooth nutty earthy warm flavors. Very subtle spice notes. Creamy chocolate that really comes through in the retrohale. Not particularly complex not as good as the 8-5-8 but for the price you can't beat it. 4 5 1
Curly Head Deluxe The Curly Head might be the Fuente cast-off stepchild but I find it a most satisfying smoke. I've smoked most of the Fuente offerings from Hemingways to Spanish Lonsdales and the only one I can compare with the Curly Head is the Fuente 8-5-8. 4 5 1

Curly Head Deluxe On summer evenings I sit outside and listen to baseball on the radio. It's soothing. This cigar completes the picture. This is not a super complex smoke. It is however mild and tasty. It's got a great burn and is never ever harsh. The flavor is light at first and improves as the cigar is smoked becoming toasty and nutty at the end. I've been smoking the Curly Head for many years. It's consistent relaxing and an exceptional value. 4 5 1

Curly Head Deluxe As a youth, I had opportunity to attend a men's clubs where smoking expensive cigars was the norm. Far too young to smoke legally, I still enjoyed the smell of fine old leather furnishings and oiled wood intermingled with the lingering aroma of good cigars. It is somehow the smell of success, a throwback to times redolent of respect for individual potential. Frankly, I know nothing of all the flavor descriptions used to describe a cigar. For me, it's like wine. In either case I know what I like. I guess I have a poor palate...but that's irrelevant. What I like is what I like. At the end of nearly every day I enjoy a single cigar, usually watching the sun slowly lower itself into the western horizon. Call me panty, but I don't like a strong or "spicy" cigar. That fact in mind, many years ago a radio personality introduced me to the Macanudo brand. I've smoked them, my end-of-day treat, for years particularly enjoying my "one hour vacation" with my father. Dad's not with us anymore but my tradition continues, a single Macanudo carefully set aside within my humidor (which he willed to me) in his memory. I don't have deep pockets. IOW, I'm not shopping Davidoff and the others in the $10+ cigars range. Honestly, although I've had a Davidoff (it was a Churchill) given to me as a gift, my ability to discern the cigar's flavor subtleties, well, I just can't appreciate the cigar enough to justify the cost...even if I do smoke only one a day. Smoking my cherished Macanudos was seeing a daily exit of $5 a day from my predominantly lint-filled pocket so I've sought a cost-effective replacement and this cigar, FOR THE PRICE, is a gratefully appreciated example. Yeah, it's not a perfect cigar but it leaves the surrounding of "The Fo'c'sle", my designated smoking area, permeated with that memorable aroma so fondly revisited. Want a cigar with the aroma of a cigar more dear, a cigar of mild affront, pick this one. I'm confident it will not disappoint...but keep in mind my confessed ignorance. 5 5 1
Curly Head Deluxe Arturo Fuente has always been one of my favorite cigars. However, I was very disappointed in these. Poor draw, unable to keep it lit and no flavor or taste. I would not recommend these. Bad batch? 1 5 1

They're a bit long for me but at this price you could save some for later honestly. Curly Head Deluxe I know these are not top end cigars, they're a sandwich but I've smoked them for years and I love 'em. They have a nice clean burn line, they have great flavor and wonderful aroma due to the Connecticut broad leaf wrapper. The draw is somewhat firm but not too firm. They provide rich thick chewy smoke and they give me about an hour and 1/2. These are made from the cuttings of the high end Fuente cigars, it's still the same great tobacco but at a much friendlier price. 4 5 1

Curly Head Deluxe I have smoked these for some time and lately the crown tips over and the tip just disintegrates with chunks of tobacco left in my mouth. So I opened it up and there was loose tobacco like pipe tobacco with a wrapper. I will never buy another as the quality has decreased so much. 3 5 1
