Arturo Fuente Anejo
#49 Reserva 7.62 × 49 AFAR49
Arturo Fuente Cigars has endured many tragedies during its existence. Arturo Fuente Anejo is a product of the Fuente Family passion, dedication and perseverance. In 1998, Hurricane George destroyed the renowned Chateau de la Fuente in the Dominican Republic. This field was where the infamous Opus X wrapper was cultivated, resulting in a shortage. Carlos Fuente Jr. used aged Connecticut broadleaf wrappers over the Dominican binder and filler as a solution and so the Anejo was born. The unique maduro wrapper is aged for five years in cognac barrels. Besides having extraordinary flavor, one particular shape Anejo is available in is the No. 77, also known as Shark. This is the first torpedo of its kind to transform from a rounded Parejo to a square press.
