Robusto The AB American Classic is well constructed and has a great draw and very even burn. The flavor was a little too harsh and spicy for my liking though. I'm going to let them sit in the humidor a while and see if they mellow out a little. I tend to enjoy maduros more than the lighter sticks. I prefer the Alec Bradley Black Market Robusto. 4 5 1

Robusto I must have received a box of rejects. They taste terrible smell just as bad burn down one side and in general the worst cigar I have ever had. I do believes if they had cost what they were worth I wouldn't judge them so harshly because they would have only cost $.05 each. Even when I past them out to other people they had the same reaction. Robusto The taste is very light and the body is pretty much zero. A little nutty with a slightly strained yet fluffy draw. I like a lighter smoke but even with a little age this was still too light for me. I wouldn't buy it again. 3 5 1

Robusto So many positive reviews I tried 'em as I'm a solid fan of AB Black Markets. Wanted to like them but just don't get it. Mostly straw flavor w/ slight bitterness first third was harsh second third developed to tolerable tossed last third. Some reviewers mentioned aging which is only hope for these. Robusto Alec Bradley was one of the first brand of cigars I was introduced to when I first started smoking cigars. The American Classic is currently my favorite. 4 5 1

Robusto Received this in an AB freebie assortment that came along with a box purchase. The cigar was pretty to look at but had too tight of a draw. The flavor was a nice hay & cream combination with a bit of roasted nuts showing up further into the cigar. While it was a pleasant taste overall it was just far too weak/mild. AB's Conn. Conn.Reserve White Gold MAXX Conn. - all have a much fuller more rounded flavor that I find preferable to this particular smoke. However a maduro version of this smoke was also included in the assortment and it has a far superior flavor. So I guess my issue is mostly with the wrapper and not the blend but I digress... Anyhow it's not a bad smoke but you can do better. 4 5 1

Periodiocally I received a harsh taste of bitter but powered past it in a couple puffs. I feel it is a solid contender in the 5 buck range. 4 5 1

Robusto I was disappointed with this stick. I've seen lots of good reviews and was excited to get 5 pack for very little money. I was able to smoke about ten seconds before the wrapper started coming completely off. Not sure if it's the cigar or if it's that they never ship 5 packs with boveda packets. Robusto This stick is a little on the milder side of medium and is b far the most consistent smoke I have come across. What I mean by that is that I mostly buy cigars in 5-packs of samplers and every time I smoke an Alec Bradley Classic it is an enjoyable experience . There is minimal variation in build and flavor despite the fact that my collection of Classics have come from different sellers both B@M and online. 4 5 1

Robusto After about 30 years I have finally migrated to smoking mostly shade grown cigars. A shade grown robusto just seems to be the best way to spend an hour with a book. The american classic in robusto has a good flavor and aroma to it, I'll put it in the category of Excalibur rather than a macanudo. It's a milder to medium, smooth smoking cigar. Draw and construction are almost always right on. I literally have hundreds of the things in storage, and it's one of the top in my regular rotation. 5 5 1

Robusto I have been wanting to try these American Classic blend from Alec Bradley. They have been back ordered a few times when I tried to get them. Well now I smoked them and they’re alright. Nothing special. Good for an occasional smoke if I don’t have any Ashtons. 4 5 1

Robusto Bought a box and smoked several. While they’re “O.K.", there are way better cigars in their price range. These are fairly loosely packed and fall way short of a smooth flavor. The draw is good but the taste is too ashy. These should be priced around $2 - $3 per stick, at best. 3 5 1
