The original Honduran Riata is a medium bodied blend that features a thick, chewy Mexican wrapper in both an EMS and maduro shade that covers a Mexican binder and long-leaf Honduran fillers. This timeless recipe produces hearty flavors of earth, pepper, nuts, and dark roast coffee. Following up on the success of its stronger Nicaraguan cousin, the Riata Dominican was born. The cigars consist of Dominican and Honduran long fillers, a Connecticut broadleaf binder, and your choice of either a light Connecticut Shade leaf, or dark-brown Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. Together, they offer the same mellow to medium bodied profile, with flavors of leather, cedar, toast, and spice, produced from the lighter wrapped blend, with a healthy dose of chocolate and dark fruit coming from the maduro selection.
