The Navigator

Setting sail is the second line from the ADVentura series that centers around the theme of exploration. The Explorer, the first release of the compelling trilogy, was an absolute hit, with the Navigator featured here the second, and Conqueror, the third installment. Established following a 2016 team-up of Henderson Ventura, the co-master blender at Tabacalera William Ventura, and Marcel Knobel, a sommelier and coffee producer, each edition is blended from scratch after a year's worth of exploration with their fresh and innovative approach. As previously stated, although the Explorer made quite the impression when it first dropped into cigar shops around the globe, ADVentura The Navigator is arguably the most complex of all ADV blends. Taking advantage of the favorable current – that is the wave of success elicited from the Explorer – for the sequel, McKay and Henderson of ADVentura decidedly created one of the most complex and rich blends to ever encompass your tastebuds allowing you to follow the adventures of ADV and McKay once again but through a more flavor forward blend the second time around. Every bit of brilliant, it starts with a core of long-fillers from Ecuador, Nicaragua, and the Dominican Republic. This three-country combo is bound by an Indonesian Sumatra leaf before being enveloped in a Mexican San Andres Maduro wrapper. The tobaccos from five different origins form a complementary combination with robust notes of espresso, toffee, leather, caramel, creaminess, and pepper staying steadfast throughout its medium intensity smoke, forming a flavor profile that remains interesting for the entirety of the cigar and making it worthy of the ADVentura name. While the cigars have been previously sold in Europe for many years, it wasn’t until May of 2019 that they found their way into the US market. They are a regular production line and size offering rolled out of Tabacalera William Ventura in the Dominican Republic and are available in boxes of 20.
