Smokers beware the shriek of La Llarona! The ADVentura La Lllorona is a limited-edition release from ADVentura Cigars specifically created to thank ADVentura's loyal customers and stores and is only offered to the companies' first-class accounts. The series gets its name from Latin folklore and is a tale about a vindictive spirit, who in a jealous and selfish rage, drowned her children upon learning about her husband’s infidelities. Now, she wanders in endless mourning, lamenting the deaths of the children and all who she happens upon exacts merciless vengeance. Now that we have the backstory, let’s get into the blend. The first release from this limited-edition line uses an Ecuadorian wrapper, Dominican binder, and a mix of Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. Firm in hand, the ADVentura La Llorona is finished with a lovely cap. The wrapper is light and natural and is antiqued brown in coloring. Toothy and slightly gritty in texture, it sports small to medium sized veins throughout as it emits aromas of sweet spices, hay, leather and earth on the foot. Culminating in an estimated smoking time of anywhere between 45-90 minutes, depending on the size format, its medium plus intensity smoke, is hauntingly irresistible. Tastebuds will revel in the unique flavor profile saturated in cocoa, aged leather, caramel and chocolate chip cookies for a memorable experience you wish to encounter again, and again. Donned in one of the most unique bands around, upon closer examination, you will realize that it is, in reality, two perfectly overlapping bands that once aligned, not only do they recall the colors of the Dominican Republic flag, but they also form a pirate wearing a pirate hat. From its intriguing story and finely aged tobaccos, down to its stylized packaging, La Llorona is all-encompassing, staying true to the brand's complex and refined craftmanship and joyful sense of adventure. Housed in quantities of 10, available is the ADVentura La Llorona Limited Edition Corona 6x44 or ADVentura La Llorona Robusto 5×52, shop JR Cigars today.
